The Friends of the Salt Lake City Public Library accepts donations of gently-used books. CDS, DVDS, vinyl records and comic books. These items are sold at Book Sales at the Main Library throughout the year. Proceeds from these sales fund a variety of Library projects, including programs and exhibits, materials, outreach events, computer equipment, furnishings, and more. 

Donations are tax-deductible. Please consult with an accountant or tax preparer to determine the value of your donation. 

We do not accept VHS or books with time-sensitive topics, such as business, tax, investment, computer/software, textbooks, etc. 

Bring your gently-used books and media to the Salt Lake City Main Library on one of the following Donation Drive dates:

 – February 24, 10am-1pm

 – May 25, 10am-1pm

 – August 24, 10am-1pm

 – November 16, 10am-1pm
