Neighbors Helping Neighbors is partnering with the Friends of the City Library to get books out to people who may be at high-risk, low-income, or for other reasons, do not have access to reading materials right now. No questions are asked. Each person can request two fiction or two non-fiction books and a volunteer will drop them off at their doorstep.

I’m hoping that we can fine-tune this process. Right now, the selection is pretty small. But once the library staff allow volunteers back into the building, I’m hoping that we can take more specific requests. Meanwhile, I’m just glad that we can get something out to readers and that Neighbors Helping Neighbors has stepped up to the plate to help make this happen.

To access the request form, go to: Click on “Delivery” at the top, then fill out the form on that page. Finally, click the black button at the bottom of the form.
